Dresden, Warsaw, and Berlin were just a few of theEuropean capitals that throbbed with musical life in the 18th century. Whilethe names of composers like Ristori, Hasse, Benda, and Graun may not ring abell for today's listeners, they were major figures in their respectivecenters, captivating audiences across Europe. Their works, full of grace andsophistication, reflected the musical trends of the era and made a significantcontribution to the development of European culture. A diverse program of theconcert will feature symphonies and concertos for oboe, viola, and viola dagamba. This is an excellent opportunity to rediscover the richness and beautyof 18th-century music.
